Danny has adjusted to Orlando and is enjoying himself
in his new
surroundings. Making the transition from the Air Force to the civilian way of
life was an easy transition for him. Career planning and preparing the family to
a new location were key strategies and they paid off.
He was pleased to
see the family fit right into the community, especially the kids. A home in a good
school district coupled with meeting friends with similar interests and locating
a church that had exciting programs for young adults have made life easier for
all family members.
The next stage of the game (or life) seems to be a bit
more challenging. The kids are becoming young adults, thus requiring different
parenting skills and needs from their perspective. The next five to six years
will be real challenges, but as a willing and flexible father, Danny will make
the adjustments.
