Eric comes home from Camp Kulaqua!
Eric just returned from Camp Kulaqua 2000. He and his buddies raised
enough funds to go on this trip by doing car washes, mowing grass and other odd
and end jobs. Camp Kulaqua is meant to bring kids closer to God, and to have
fun. Camp was from July24-29. The camp is approximately a 2 hour trip from
Orlando. Camp
Kulaqua offers many fun things to do; snorkeling, Itchetucknee River tubing, archery, and
Canoeing. The day starts early for the campers with breakfast, services,
and seminars. The campers do get to spend 3 hours of free time after
lunch. In the evenings, the campers eat dinner and talk about their
experiences during the day. The night is usually closed with some
skits. Campers that wish to attend next year should bring the following:
 |
sleeping bag, pillow |
 |
towels, toiletries |
 |
Bible, notebook, pen |
 |
casual clothes, swimming trunks, sneakers |
 |
raincoat, bug repellant, flashlight |
 |
spending money. |
Eric thoroughly enjoyed Camp Kalaqua.
The picture above is from the 1998 Camp Kalaqua trip with his buddies, Justin
and Ben.
