Vicky went to the Myrtle Beach Getaway from June 11-16. It was held at
the Landmark Resort Hotel in South Carolina. Teenagers from all over the southern
states came together to worship, praise and learn how to have a more intimate
relationship with God. Phil Jackson, Ron Carlson, and Greg Speck spoke at the
conference. The band "Israel" lead the praise music. During the conference,
the kids went to the beach to survey people and share the 4 spiritual laws with them.
During their free-time, they had access to pools, lazy rivers, spas, the beach
and several other activities.
In Vicky's spare time she likes to play the piano. She has taken lessons
for a few years now. Every December, her piano teacher has a recital for
all her students at a local church. Last year, Vicky played "F�r
Elise", by Ludwig Beethoven from memory.
Vicky is also involved with the University High School Guard.
The guard members twirl flags and march with the band at football
games and at school competitions.
